Gavin Mounted camera 2 Ian in Kelp

4 minute QuickTime  13MB Video Clip.

People asked if it is possible to ride the Gavin's in the dense Northern California kelp. Well, this video was shot using a video Camera MOUNTED to the body of a Gavin in the densest kelp we could find.

The light shown on the tail cone of Ian's scooter is from Jt's hand held HID. While this might be distracting to the viewer of the video clip; it is a form of light communication, and used to help keep the divers together as a team.

Visibility: 15' to 25' depending on depth.

Note: This was a test dive to test camera positioning and buoyancy. You might notice that the Gavin scooters turn by rotating the handle. This cause the framing to tilt as well. The divers are not fully kitted.

Diver: Ian P
